Description of the company and its technology
Agrisoma has commercialized a new crop to service the growing demand for non-food, sustainable biofuel feedstock to supply the renewable fuels and biojet industry. To date, more than 140 innovative farmers on three continents have grown Agrisoma’s Resonance carinata seed product, which has been used to produce over 2 million litres of advanced biofuels and provide over 10 million kilograms of sustainably produced animal feed. Agrisoma’s carinata seed product provides a source of renewable carbon for low carbon fuels, including being the only carbon source that was used to power the world’s first 100% biojet flight.
Description of the entrepreneur
Steve Fabijanski is CEO and brings more than 20 years of experience as a senior executive and entrepreneur within the agriculture and biotechnology industry. He built and sold a seed company in the hybrid canola seeds business, and has extensive hands-on agricultural industry experience. At his previous business he managed relationships with over 150 clients in the agricultural and environmental industries including multinational companies and regulatory agencies. Steve holds a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Miami. He holds 20 issued US Patents and 13 pending patents in the area of agriculture and crops and in during his scientific career published over 30 papers.
